About Bacon Cipher

The Bacon cipher was devised by Sir Francis Bacon in 1605. It's a method of steganography where a message is hidden within another text using two different typefaces (or representations).

Each letter is encoded as a sequence of 5 binary elements (A and B, or 0 and 1). The original version combined I/J and U/V, using only 24 letters.
