About DES/3DES

DES (Data Encryption Standard) was adopted in 1977. Its 56-bit key is now considered insecure due to brute-force attacks.

Triple DES (3DES) applies DES three times with two or three different keys, providing stronger security but slower performance.

Note: This is a simplified implementation for educational purposes. For production use, consider using established cryptographic libraries.
